Retention and Deletion

Last updated: August 2026

Content Swarm keeps personal data only for as long as it is needed for the service, to meet legal duties, to maintain security, or to resolve disputes.

Deletion requests

Email support@contentswarm.io.

Please tell us whether the request concerns your account, your LinkedIn connection, a team, a specific content item, or all personal data.

We may ask for information to verify your identity and your authority to make the request. We will respond within one month and tell you what has been done.

Deletion requests are handled by our team rather than through a self service control.

What deletion covers

When we delete an account we remove the account record and the data linked to it, including stored LinkedIn credentials, content records, engagement records and email records.

What is not covered

Some information is not removed by an account deletion request:

  • Records we are required to keep by law, including billing and accounting records
  • Limited internal records retained for security, audit and dispute purposes, in line with the schedule above
  • Copies held in backups, which are removed as the backup cycle expires rather than immediately
  • Content already published on LinkedIn, which sits on LinkedIn’s platform and must be removed there or through your LinkedIn account
  • Data held by service providers, which is removed in line with their own processes and retention periods

If you need any of these addressed specifically, tell us in your request and we will explain what is possible.

When a customer contract ends

Our Data Processing Agreement gives the customer the choice to have customer personal data returned or deleted, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Unless the customer asks otherwise:

  • Customer data remains available for export on request for 30 days after termination
  • Production data is deleted after that export window, subject to the exceptions described above
  • Backup copies are put beyond ordinary use and removed as the backup cycle expires
  • We confirm in writing what has been deleted, on request
